I haven't decided which name to go with yet. I've been thinking Duddy for Bryce. Before he said to me, in his hinting way, "If I had a donkey, I'd call him duddy." Then he says, "I Know! He'll be yours and my donkey and we'll call him duddy." But everyone else says he's too pretty to be a duddy and they came up with other names...Which name do you think is the best?

It kind of reminds me of this goat we had. We didn't have a fence, so I had to keep her staked out. Seems like I spent most my time moving her, getting her water, feeding her, untangling her--she'd get wrapped up around the stake so bad--always there was something. She'd get mad at me for untangling her, or leaving her too long, but she always perked up when she saw me. She knew I'd take good care of her. Sometimes I think thats how God is with me. Maybe it just helps me understand a little...
I'm really only writing this for me, so I hope you don't mind :-)

A tale of two chickens...
There is a certain character, who you'd be likely to see--in fact he's kind of tough to miss--prancing around, strutting his stuff, ruffling his feathers, and crowing for all he's worth.
Frank the Magnificent
There's another very different character, who stays where he belongs, with his group of followers. He's not the most showy bird you ever seen, but there's no doubt he's the general himself...
Meet Zeb
Zeb gets onto Frank for crowing too much, so Frank just gets up on the gate and crows up there, or goes around outside the pen. I guess it gives him an important air, after all Zeb can hardly even get over the fence like he can!
And if Frank thinks anyone is infringing on his territory (what he actually has I don't know), he ruffles out his feathers and prepares for the challenge. That guy has some major ego issues! I guess he thinks he has to show off to prove himself a good rooster. After his new stunt of chasing people around and pecking at them, I don't think he'll be around much longer.
You have to admit, he's got a NICE crow, too bad he won't be around to use it.
As for Zeb...I think he's content with his little band of hens.
